Albert Payne (アルバート・ペイン, Arubāto Pein) is a fictional character from manga series of Hanma Baki. He is the doctor and a nobel prize winner. Payne appears to be very knowledgeable about Pickle, whom he views as a treasure to the human race.
Personality[]
His approach to Pickle is a bit crazy and very serious. No matter how savage and destructive Pickle is, he still cherishes him as a national treasure and a miracle of science. He is willing to drive the Siberian tigers to extinction to feed Pickle and disregard his rape of a Japanese reporter as an accident, but feeding him martial artists is a bit crazy even for Payne.

At some point, he loses his calm and go on a rant about driving a species to extinction to feed Pickle, he actually does find an alternative by cloning the tyranosaurus Rex meat so no fighters or tigers have to die to keep Pickle alive.
