Backdrop (バックドロップ , Bakkudoroppu) is a fighting technique.
Description[]
When the opponent is distracted, the user of the technique must crouch on the opponent's left side and grab him by the abdomen. Then the opponent must be lifted until he is on his shoulders. Finally, the user must jump back so that the opponent hits the head, neck and shoulders against the ground. This technique is useful to keep the opponent immobile on the ground for a few seconds.
Kanji Igari used that move three times during anime version on his fight with Rob Robinson. In the manga during the same scene, Igari used just a single Suplex to defeat Robinson and there was no mention about the Backdrop. The first time in the manga when the Backdrop was used, is during Baki Hanma and Honoo's match in the Baki Dou. Honoo used this technique to slam Baki's head against the Underground Arena's fence.
