Harite (張り手, Harite) is a sumo fighting technique.
Description[]
The Harite technique is a sumo slap or a strike with an open hand. In the sumo wrestling's world, the Harite is a very common fighting move.
For the first time in the series, Kinryuuzan used this technique against Kanji Igari suring the Maximum Tournament in the first manga series. Jun Guevaru have also used this technique during his "sumo" fight against a large former proffesional fighter called the Self-Styled First in the third manga series. In the Baki Dou series, Nomi no Sukune used a powerful slap to knock out Taima no Kehaya. Later, Shachihoko used the Harite against Kaoru Hanayama during their battle. Nomi no Sukune the 2nd used this technique against Jack Hanma.
