Joe William (ジョー・ウィリアム, Jō Uiriamu) is a fictional character from the manga series of Baki Dou. He is a professional adventurer and hiker who accomplished many feats with his strength.
Personality[]
He is traumatized after being sexually assaulted by another man, and he deals with it by taking on various outdoorsman challenges and having life-threatening adventures. Joe is trying to reaffirm his own masculinity in this way.

History[]
Baki Dou[]
During an interview with an unseen interviewer, he talks about recent successful adventures, but hesitates to reveal the reason he began challenging himself. It is then revealed in a monologue that 16 years ago he was raped by Yuujirou Hanma which made Joe realize the woman within him and ever since that day he started risking his own life by going on dangerous adventures. He was shown to be living in a small house in some forest.

Joe William is a very adventurous person. His greatest feats are being able to summit Chomolungma without any oxygen supplies, being able to climb the Niagara Falls, and cross the pacific ocean on a hot air balloon.
