Knuckle Arrow (ナックル アロー, Nakkuru Arō) is a fighting technique. In the anime, the technique was renamed for Knuckle Arrow of Hercules.
Description[]
When the opponent is in a low position, the user must grab him by the head with his non-dominant hand and lift him until his arm is straight. Next, the user must put the fist of their dominant hand close to their shoulder, this will appear as if the user is tensing a bow. Finally, the user have to launch the punch.
Although the commentator describes it as an incredible technique, it never really proved unusually effective in combat. Probably this technique was intended to be a move nice to see for viewers, albeit for entertainment. Also, the technique simply functions as kind of a trademark and signature move of Kanji Igari.
For the first time in the anime the technique was used by Igari against Rob Robinson in the first round of the Maximum Tournament, but in the manga, for the first time Igari used the Knuckle Arrow in his battle with Kinryuuzan in the second match in the tournament. In the Grappler Baki Gaiden: Antonio Igari vs Mount Toba manga spinoff, Igari would use the technique twice on Mount Toba, with a variation where he doesn't grab Toba's head and rather would just throw a quick punch.
