Mouko Ri (李 猛虎, Ri Mōko) is a fictional character from anime and manga series of Baki the Grappler. He is the only taekwondo user in the Maximum Tournament. According to the Underground Arena’s master of ceremonies, Mouko Ri is a marine.
He was called the "Flame Tiger" (炎の虎, Honō no Tora).
Personality[]
Mouko is shown to be a confident and disciplined fighter. During his fight with Iron Michael, he is shown to be adaptable and analytical; after being hit by one of Iron Michael’s punches, he realized that he wouldn’t be able to win the match by merely trading punches thus he changed his strategy. He is also shown to be somewhat cocky as he grinned pleasurably after hitting Michael’s knees. He was also quick to assume victory as he believed that his exploitation of Michael’s lower body assured him winning the match.

Mouko is a well-built young man, but in the manga he looks like a little bit older person with a somewhat wrinkled face. He had a mohawk styled in a triangular shape. He wears a traditional white gi with black accents on the arms and legs.

At some point of his life, he learned Taekwondo and joined the South Korean Marine where he would become the chief martial arts instructor.
He is invited by Mitsunari Tokugawa as one of the 36 fighters of the Maximum Tournament.
Abilities[]
Mouko Ri is a strong fighter who participated in the Maximum Tounament. He is a master of Taekwondo. Mouko Ri is very tactical martial artist, using acrobatics to his advantage. He started to use kicks to attack Iron Michael's knees, because he wanted to avoid Michael's attack range and because a boxer’s greatest weakness is their lower body. But despite of that, he couldn't win that fight. Iron Michael tricked Ri into his attack range by putting his leg on the fence and leaning his upper body forward. Then Mouko Ri was easily defeated with a punch in the face.

- His name should be written Li Maeng-Ho or Li Meng-Hu in a typically Korean style spelling of the name, but in the manga, hiragana characters (the Japanese syllabic alphabet used to write Japanese words) have been added to the kanji of his name, which means that the romanization of his name is more Japanese-oriented than Korean, even though the character is obviously Korean. For example, in the manga series the same situation is with the spelling of Kaiou Retsu's name, who is Chinese after all.
